Joe is responsible for developing and executing WFG’s strategic road map towards achieving business growth, innovation and operations excellence. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Joe provides years of management experience in key areas including marketing, public relations, business development, human resources, training and education, client service, operational performance, metrics, strategic initiatives and partnerships. Given his human resources experience, he is a strong advocate for proactive retirement savings planning. Joe believes that getting employees more engaged in retirement savings can be accomplished through ongoing communication and education programs, as well as by providing key resources and technology tools for retirement planning.
Fun Fact: As an entrepreneur, Joe started a worm picking business at the age of seven. As a former boxer, Joe got to ride the elevator with former heavy weight champion Ken Norton. When Joe attempted to shake the hand of the champ he got his hand slapped by Mr. Norton’s trainer who yelled out “nobody touches the champ!” And as a consumer, Joe once ate 19 slices of New York style pizza in less than one hour.
Personal Information: Joe lives in Gaithersburg, MD with his wife Charlotte. They have four children. Joe’s hobbies include reading business books as well as working on weekends and vacations.
